I love living rooms. I like them big, with lots of seating of all types with accompanying ottomans, big fireplaces, tall ceilings and spectacular lighting.
When it comes to living room design, most of us can’t afford truly luxurious living rooms, but we can appreciate them and even gain some inspiration from them for our own living spaces.
This gallery of luxury living rooms, while ostentatious and beyond most of our means, is fun to look at. I love this stuff.
We carefully chose the best of the best. We do include a few truly spectacular celebrity living rooms.
Enjoy.
1. Solarium-Style Living Room
First up in our epic luxury living rooms gallery is a largesolarium-styleliving room from famed boxer Floyd Mayweather. I love all the off-white decor against the rich, dark wood flooring in the luxury living room design. The series of French doors leading to the grounds adds texture to the walls, and of course, the floor-to-ceiling glass doors let in plenty of light in the modern living room.

2. Three Living Rooms-in-One
LeBron James needs a big house. Well, he has it, but not only is it big, but the luxurious living space is stunning throughout all 23,000 sq. ft. I love the massive living room space, which opens up to yet another luxurious living room area on the patio. I also like the mix of black and white furniture used in the long living room gallery.

3, Tuscan Opulance
Ellen Degeneres is famous for being a comedian and TV talk show host, but she’s also known for buying and renovating homes. Above is the awesome living room in a Tuscan Villa she bought and renovated. This luxury living room has awesome aged ceiling beams, a stone wall and fireplace, tile flooring, and very cool contemporary furniture that nicely juxtaposes the aged stonework and ceiling timbers.

4. Masculine Luxury
Floyd’s mansion is epic. Here’s another luxurious living room from his home that is off-the-charts unique. It’s very masculine with dart built-in cabinetry, furniture pieces, and flooring, and all contrasted with a large white area rug. Very cool.

5. Rustic Great Hall
The luxury living room design above is more like a rustic great hall equal in size and elegance to the storied spaces found in castles. It’s totally awesome in its luxurious interior design. Guess which celeb owns this beauty? Miley Cyrus. She’s loaded, and it’s not from her celebrity country singer dad. Miley is a megastar. Look at that soaring ceiling, stone fireplace, rustic furniture, wide-plank flooring, and killer chandelier. This is one cool living room full of luxury interior design

6. Contemporary Comfort
Not opulent. Not grand. But it’s sure nice luxury living room decor. Above is Jane Fonda’s living room in her newish home. I love the modern design of the long sofas, large glass table, wood tray ceiling, and white walls in this living room. It’s perfect.

7. Gallery-Style Living Room
I love how this living room flows off the hall via archways. It’s a very nice flow, yet the living room is cozy and comfortable. You can see this living room space is nicely decked out with a full bar, large fireplace, chandelier, side-sitting area, tall ceilings, and dark wood floor. This is the living room in Britney Spears’ former home.

8. Massive Great Room
Above is the massive great room space in Britney Spears’ former mansion. Look at those beams and the overall size of the space. It’s like an airport hangar.
9. Classically Elegant
Oops, she did it again. Above is Brtiney Spears’ living room in her new mansion which is gargantuan and totally over-the-top interior design. The formal living room is totally decked out with French doors, a chandelier, a fireplace, a glass-top coffee table, two facing traditional sofas, and a tray ceiling.

10. Palatial Grand Salon
Check out the luxury living room ideas in this opulent space. It’s a ballroom with two living room spaces flanked by upper landings. This living room must be at least 3,000 sq. ft. (our entire house). The interior designer was kept busy with two separate seating areas: one with a mega white leather sectional and the other a more formal space. Each has a fireplace. There’s enough room in between to enjoy a game of floor hockey. Guess which celeb couple lives here? Jay-Z and Beyonce.

11. Outdoor/Indoor Living Room
Okay, okay, I know you’re thinking that this is a patio. It is, but it’s really indoor/outdoor living space, and this patio living room with its comfortable seating plan is one of my all-time favorites, so I wanted to include it here. It’s designed by SAOTA, one of my favorite architecture firms. You can see the entire villa here.
12. Seaside Glamour
Living room luxury doesn’t get any better for a beachside mansion. It’s airy, has loads of light from floor-to-ceilingwindows, and opens into the dining area and kitchen.

13. Contemporary Splendor
Contemporary luxuryliving room ideas in this space include a shed ceiling, huge windows, and colorful furniture. Wall art provides a focal point for the luxury design.

Check out the amazing decorating ideas in this two-story living room in a craftsman-stylehome. It’s comfortable and luxurious. It’s a very popular living room image on our site for good reason.

15. Modern Luxury
This is very interesting. Very modern. Custom living room furniture. Marble floor, which isn’t typically modern, still works in this one-of-a-kind living room design.
