They are probably caused by the same thing, my CPU Temps and fan speeds stopped showing up on CPU HWMonitor app, even tho everything was looking correct there was obviously something wrong with my sensors or something. Tried restarting the PC and going to BIOS and everything looks fine. Can see CPU temperatures fan speeds etc. Then tried checking the CPU-Z which used to run completely without problems yesterday returned an 'error code 0x287 (647) occured during initialization' here is the error log file;

[bInitDriver] path = C:\Windows\temp
[bInitDriver] GetCurrentDirectory = C:\Program Files\CPUID\CPU-Z
[bInitDriver] GetModuleFileName = C:\Program Files\CPUID\CPU-Z\cpuz.exe
[vGetOSVersion] m_iOSVersion = 2 (10.0), SHA2 = 1
[vGetOSVersion] IsAMD64=0, IsIA64=0, IsAlpha=0, SHA2=1
[bInitDriver] Extract dir = C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\
[bInitDriver] m_szPath_2=C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\, m_szFilename=cpuz149_x64.sys
[WinNT_hCreateServiceHandle] CreateFile cpuz149 returned 2 (0x2)
[WinNT_bInstallDriver] szMachineName = DESKTOP-RPLNEM7
[bDeleteFile] DeleteFile C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\cpuz149_x64.sys failed (error = 3)
[bDeleteFile] RemoveDirectory C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\ failed (error = 2)
[dwExtract_SYS] Extract C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\cpuz149_x64.sys
[WinNT_bCreateService] szDestName = C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\cpuz149_x64.sys
[WinNT_bStartService] StartService failed, error code = 647
[bInitDriver] bInitDriver returned 647
[WinNT_dwStopService] OpenService failed, errorcode = 1060
[WinNT_dwDeleteService] Openservice failed, errorcode = 1060
[bDeleteFile] DeleteFile C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\cpuz149_x64.sys succeeded
[bDeleteFile] RemoveDirectory C:\Windows\temp\cpuz149\ succeeded
[vCloseDriver] CloseHandle(mutex) = 1

It turned out that it can be a bigger issue, maybe related to the motherboard because i am not able to see Mermory, Mainboard and SPD infos on the CPU-Z they are almost totally blank. I would like to share the screenshots but the system is not allowing me to.

Hey, just saw on a reddit thread. its all because of RIOT VANGUARD cause of VALORANT!! Delete both Valorant and RIOT VANGUARD and it all goes back to normal!

Now that I think of it, when I opened Valorant 2 days ago it did a quick update. That must have been when it started to bug out!

I was able to somehow monitor temperatures and clock speeds via MSI Afterburner but now it is also looking broken. What i did before that was just trying the 'OC Genie' option on my motherboards BIOS. Then i saw no difference and turned it back to normal and then i just realised that Afterburner is looking totally blank and i am not able to monitor anything, also getting an error on GPU-Z now which was working fine. Nevertheless CPUID HWMonitor is showing the GPU Temps but not the clock speeds, and just showing the utilization for the CPU. No problem on BIOS but seems like there are something going on here, and i denitely need some advices.

Responding to say that the same exact thing is happening to me! All of it! The CPU Z error, MSI afterburner being unresponsive, HWmonitor not showing temps. All of it!

I'm trying to think of what changed that might have caused it and all I can think of is that I updated my Nvidia drivers a few days ago, but I'm not sure if that would actually have an effect.

my specs:
Asrock X470 Fatal1ty ITX/AC
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
EVGA GTX 1070 SC
G.Skill Ripjawz V 16gb 3200mhz

Win 10 Pro
Version 1903
Build 18362.778

Oh my god! I should've thinked of it when i got the error message from the 'Riot Vanguard' bulls***t when i try to run the MSI Afterburner. I just uninstalled the Riot Vanguard from the Programs tab on Windows 10 and didn't even needed to restart my PC, everything is back to normal.

Thanks for sharing us the solution man, i am going to keep the game for now, but not that Anti-Cheat system so if they update and fix the issue i will install it back to play the game again.

I just made an account to reply to this, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I spent nearly 2 hours banging my head on my desk, Ryzen Master not working, reinstalled a million times, updated BIOS, cleared CMOS, then Afterburner started to not detect my GPU, then i tried installing CoreTemp which didn't let me even run it, same with CPU-Z, HWiNFO showing my CPU at 60C idle and it is all because of this STUPID ANTI CHEAT!!!! How did it manage to screw it all up??
