early with me. i'm frances rivera. president biden is expected to make a major announcement on immigration today. nbc news has learned the president will announce a plan to protect hundreds of thousands of undocumented undocumented i aimmigrants who are married to u.s. citizens from deportation. what do we know about their action? >> reporter: nbc news spoke to four sources familiar with the matter who say that this new policy will apply to migrants who came to the u.s. illegally ten or more years ago, who are married to u.s. citizens. it would make them eligible for green cards and a path to citizenship. it's estimated to impact about a half million people. the program, known as parole in place, would make it possible for the undocumented spouses to obtain work per magnificents on permits on a case by case basis. one comsaid it was the biggest
